I compiled a list of facts that people often ask and some that you might find interesting about my fitness journey.  
I hope you find them to be encouraging and maybe prevent you from using some of the more common excuses that we all struggle with.
 
I left some of them deliberately vague, so that if you are interested in how I do it, that you can ask for more details!
 
1. I do not do sit-ups or any abdominal exercises.
2. I am closer to 50 than I am to 40.
3. I likely eat more than you do, while still burning fat.
4. In the past 2 weeks I have been out drinking and eating hot fudge sundaes.
5. Most people at both gyms I go to, including Planet Fitness, work out harder than I do.
6. My target weight is 210, at under 15% body fat. (I am 6′)
7. The internet says you need to be between 6-13% to see your abs…you do not.)

8. I eat out more than I should. (3x a week)
9. I do go to the gym 2x a day. I do this because I still fight fatigue and my schedule allows for it.
9a.You do not need to work out twice a day to get the same results.
10. I work out for 60-75min a day (both workouts combined). This can be easily done in one gym session.
11. I cannot run or swim anymore. Side note: I also cannot smell a thing.
11a. …or walk in a straight line because of chemo-induced neuropathy.

12. I eat ice cream 4 times a week.

13. I do not use a filter or photoshop on my photos in this blog.
14. I do use excellent lighting and choose the best ones to post.
13. I use no pre-workout of any kind. My caffeine is limited to Diet Coke. (3 a day)
14. I have a torn pectoral and left bicep that was never repaired and is still torn.
15. I do not drink any coffee. My energy is my own.
16. I do not take painkillers for any muscle soreness.
17. I work out almost every day of the month, in some capacity. “Day off” means a low-impact cardio workout.
18. I weight train 3 days on with one day off.
19. I eat between 230-250g of protein a day on a limited budget. (I can show you how)
20. I sleep about 7 hours a night, and wake up at 5 am every day. Even on the weekends
